Part of the house, not a separate box

Door entry is something everyone in the house uses every day, so it needs to be simple. I plan where the stations go and how you'll answer, then set it up on the network alongside the cameras and the rest of the system.

Where it makes sense, door entry can be linked to the rest of the smart home — for example, outside lights coming on when someone rings after dark. Cabling is done by your electrician, or one I bring in.

Paxton Net2 access control. Around 20 years fitting Paxton and other systems, including managing sites of over 150 doors. Gates and barriers alongside your electrical and mechanical contractors.

Common questions

Not covered here? Call 01983 897616 or send a message.

Can door entry work with CCTV?

Planning them together makes sense, as they share the network and often the same positions. Tell me what you have in mind.

Can you replace an existing intercom?

Often, yes. Tell me what's there and how it's cabled, and I'll say what's realistic.
